Q u o t e:
It blows my mind you haven't recognised that Horde Silvermoon needs
a ton more people.

As it happens, of course we are aware that Silvermoon is
extremely Alliance dominated. What you are not taking into account
is that it is also very highly populated in general. We
cannot send anyone of any faction to that realm using FCMs without
causing more harm than good. So the focus needs to be on reducing
the Alliance side more, to allow space for more Horde. This is why
we have Alliance only FCMs away from the realm.

I buff the group and instruct everyone to remain out of line of

Q u o t e:
I am here to remove the trolls as the "god" status they hold on the
forums.

The Dwarves as being the supreme Alliance race is something I DO
NOT have a problem with.

Why the trolls?

They are not as bulky nor beefed up like a Dwarf, hell they just
have slight more muscle than a Blood Elf.
They are barefoot. No Shoes. They Look like freaking Hobos, If
trolls don't scream savage then...IDK.

They have crap lore, and Freeload from Glorious Orcs in Orgrimmar.
They DO NOTHING. AT ALL. ( I'm talking about the Horde
Trolls)

Look at the Dwarves:
They Have Beards.
Look at a Dwarf in plate. Look at a Troll in Plate.

They Drink for their 3 daily meals.
They have a big Sexy City. Sexier than Stormwind.
A great King with Equally awesome brothers. THEY DO
SOMETHING.

Who should be the new forum Awesome Horde Equivalent?

THE TAUREN:

They Have a BIG city that they can call their own, they aren't
freeloaders. Cairne is a beast.(no pun)
The Tauren Look sexy in Plate. They don't have shoes, but they
aren't Bare Foot savages.
Dwarves and Tauren have their respective mounts dropped in the
opposite factions, Brewfest Events.

Face it trolls, you have NOTHING, nothing except praise from the
forums. Any other race contribute more than you. You guys love to
talk about other races, especially Gnomes.

Why are Gnomes bashed so much about not being able to take back
Gnomeregan from level 28 Elites, when the Trolls can't fight back
against level 10 non elites?

FOR THE DWARVES!
FOR THE TAUREN!

/spit on trolls

Trolls are amazing, and normally I'd say these types of things are
subjective -- in this case "You're wrong!!!" :P

In short, you're on my list!

Q u o t e:
How do you deal with groups that insist on killing optional bosses
in a heroic ?

Personally I find it aggravating to enter a heroic that can be
cleared in 15 minutes, that turns into a 30 minute clear because
there are people in greens that are too lazy to farm normal
ICC5.

Usually when I'm on my tank alts/mains I say beforehand that I will
skip 2/3 bosses. If people don't like it they leave.
It's also almost a given to skip the following nowadays:

DTK: King dread
HoS: Maiden/Stone guy
HoL: 1st boss (if possible)
OK: 1st spider boss, mushroom boss, jedoga.

If people start to insist on doing optional bosses i usually drop
group or just continue pulling till the last boss.
I was just in a heroic DTK where we had a DK in greens, a priest in
greens and a shadow priest in blues.
I'm not even sure why blizzard's LFG tool would put ICC geared
people in groups like this.
Anyway I casually skip dread, then they start insisting on killing
him.
I casually shrug it off and proceed to the trash till the last
boss.
They then proceed to get stubborn and stand near dread.
So I aggro the entire trash before the last boss, bring it to them,
put them in combat, then drop group; and then requeue instantly
into heroic AN.

I somewhat regret what I did, but this seems to be a very common
frustration nowadays - semi-geared people being put in groups with
people in greens, who then slow down the run to a snail's
pace.

I'm almost always fine with doing an optional boss if someone
needs/wants to kill them. At the same time, I completely understand
that some might not be okay with it, either in general -- or just
in a particular situation, such as if they are time limited. With
that being said, I'm of the mindset that if the entire group
doesn't mind, than we do it.

If one person objects, the player who needed it is out of luck,
unfortunately -- and that's the way it goes. If they have a
problem, they can choose to leave.

Just try to remember though, there are so many types of people
playing the game, and not everyone has your level of understanding
(I'm referring to the social aspects/dynamics of the game), and the
"why" varies depending on the individual. While it's human to
become frustrated or even angry at times, I don't think it's good
to act out based on emotion in-game or real life -- though it's
going to happen, especially on a long enough timeline.

I'm guilty.

Lastly -- I just want to state, that a) I had much more that I
would've liked to communicate here but didn't want to get too
"preachy", for lack of better words, and b) it's important that
everyone understand this is how I feel, and am in no way indicating
that those who feel differently are wrong.

Q u o t e:
if you are a mediocre player or new to the game like the OP seems
to be, then it will likely be faster than questing (since the OP
wouldnt know the quests yet either)

He didn't know one acronym...

But are you suggesting that by level 78 someone still isn't capable
of questing with a level of expertise? Furthermore it's a level 78
DK, which means he also leveled another character to at least
55.

After how many hours would you consider someone a questing expert?
Because I gotta tell ya, it ain't rocket surgery.

Thanks for the opportunity that these FCM provides us but Im sorry
to say this, that Im trying to to move some of my characters from
Darksorrow to Boulderfist but its taking so long, its been 36 hours
and status is still Pending . Average Wait Time: 11 Hours and its
increasing everytime i checked. all of these characters got stcuked
for migration and only DK is available and most of times gets boot
out of realm or gives me errors that i cant login now.
its getting annoying , i just wanted to know how long it will
take.

Dathran rests his arms on the Altar,
following the large "L" of Lordaeron with his fingers. It has been
one year since he was last at this altar. He prayed, begged and
cried out to the Light. His nation had fallen, his brethren dead or
fled. It was here an oath was sworn to reform the order, and with
the oath a vow pledged to reform it in a purer, and more deadly
state. Lordaeron was to be retaken or razed to the ground. But the
nation would be his either way.

Dathran closes his eyes, sighing deeply as he bans the sinful
thought of becoming King out of his mind.

"Righteous Fire, Scarlet Fire...It shall be mine or it will burn!"
Dathran's eyes widen as he notices he momentarily lost grip on his
mind. He shakes his head, smiling.

"The scent of blossom shall once more be carried by the morning
breeze of Lordaeron. A nation will not burn but be reborn. Who will
lead it... only time can tell."

I agree with this :-)

Not many know much about the story of Varian Wrynn, so those who
wish to learn more about him will not be wasting their time by

Q u o t e:
what i really need to know is: will all my characters migrate to
the same server?

A bit confused by this... the FCMs are at your choosing (based on
what we have available). So if you choose to send all characters to
one realm, they will go to that one realm. Does that make it
clearer? :-)

Q u o t e:
I have a couple of questions.

Currently I'm on Argent Dawn which is perhaps a little too busy for
me. I have two (soon to be three before this thread is posted)
characters on this server. Can I transfer them all to the same
server? I don't have a preference which server so long as it's the
same type and not ridiculously underpopulated (that would be rather
self defeating), so how do i know the population of the
destination?

Thanks.

For our Normal RP realms, as you know Argent Dawn is by far the
highest populated and indeed usually has queues. As you can see, we
have FCM from Argent Dawn to all the four other Normal RP realms,
all of which have a similar population to each other. All four are
Alliance dominated to some degree (as is Argent Dawn), but The
Sha'tar and Earthen Ring are somewhat more faction balanced than
the others.

And just to add, none of them are what could be called
underpopulated.

Q u o t e:
Do you actually think that will work? I am quite sure the only
thing that will do is make the horde on the low pop horde servers
migrate to a place with high pop horde and just make the situation
worse on all servers. Why not just admit that some servers are
beyond rescue and start merging?

Since Boulderfist is recommended for New Players and since we have
FCMs going to it (and Alliance characters are already using those
FCMs), let's say we are cautiously optimistic. Whatever the case, I
think you can see with both the New Player tag and FCMs to
Boulderfist, we are quite focused on improving the overall state of
this realm. Which, one might argue, should be seen as a good thing
:-)

Looking at it, it seems it was moved
because it is more suitable for the Suggestions forum. We get
way too many suggestions posted here in General forum and
this is not the place for them. Sure, you might have decided to
ignore that and post in here instead, but that doesn't mean that we
are going to be OK with that. ;-)

What's interesting is when 25,000 of
us get together, It doesn't seem to add up to the smelly, seamy,
dystopia that many here suggest would be the apparent outcome.
Quite the contrary, it's often a rip-roaring good time where people
meet folks from their realm, horde and alliance, and bond over
their experiences. Without the anonymity of the interface, most
people seem to be genial, kind, good-natured individuals who enjoy
the company of fellow gamers. While this wasn't unexpected, I was
somewhat surprised to see how little normal social lines meant
amongst them. People from every walk of life, cheerleaders,
businessmen, world-famous comic book artists and everyone
in-between mingled without so much as a snide glance. Conversations
focused on the common ground betwixt the parties and then to more
personal topics. It was all very interesting to observe and it
started this thought rumbling around in my titanium cranium.

So you see, from my observation of a sample size of roughly 25,000
individuals (while small and skewed), the outcome seemed promising
in regard to the population as a whole.

Interesting that so many people instantly apply negative
stereotypes to their fellow gamers and ignore the diversity and
complexity that makes up a playerbase as vast as eleven
million is apt to be.

Just to add -- do not cancel an
FCM in a queue and reinitiate it. If you do that, you are
placed at the end of the queue again.

This is a general update for all
people currently waiting on free Character Moves. There seems to be
a very large queue and for some reason the queue isn't being
processed as fast as normal and some have been waiting for
exceptional times for their FCM to complete. We want you to know we
are sorry about this delay, and that we are also investigating and
trying to see what's going on and whether we can help alleviate
this situation. We realise this can be frustrating and we are doing
our best to resolve it.

Q u o t e:
This just happened to me: http://i47.tinypic.com/ezj4gn.jpg

Anyway, that hunter went on to say that the orbs can also be traded
for frost emblems and other stuff, not only eternals and frost
lotuses, and that we should check the latest patch notes. I've
looked and can't see anything new, can someone enlighten me? Is
that right?

No, you won't be able to exchange Frozen Orbs for Emblems of
Frost.

Yeah it just takes one person to press Need after everyone's
pressed Greed on the Frozen Orbs and you miss out. But the good
news is that in patch 3.3.3 this won't be the case anymore -- the
roll for Frozen Orbs will be an automatic Greed roll.
Rejoice!

Especially with the changes to
Frozen Orbs and what they will soon allow you to purchase (http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=12680047996),
in patch 3.3.3 Frozen Orbs will no longer be something we can
choose for Need or Greed. Instead, they will be subject to an
automatic Greed roll.
